Fixed Penalty Notice
An increasing number of driving offences are now dealt with by Fixed Penalty Notices. They are commonly used for cases such as speeding, going through red lights, using a mobile phone whilst driving or driving with no insurance.
Fixed Penalty Notices normally carry a conditional 3 penalty points and a £100 fine. For more serious driving offences this carries a higher number of penalty points and a higher fine. When accepting a Fixed Penalty Notice a motorist cannot negotiate a more lenient punishment.
However, if you do not wish to accept the Fixed Penalty Notice or the conditions you have 28 days in which to reject it.
Traffic Lawyer 4U has over 25 years experience in defending motorists. We can help you fight a Fixed Penalty Notice.
